# Publishing QA checklist

Run every check on the final draft. If any check fails, fix it or don't publish.

1. **Sources.** Every factual claim (a number, date, name, "X said", "studies show") links to a source you opened in this session. Remove any claim you can't source. Use primary sources (the company's post, the paper, the filing) over articles that repeat them.
2. **No invented quotes or stats.** Every quote is copied word for word from a linked source, attributed to the person who said it, and in context. Never write a testimonial, customer quote or statistic that you didn't find. If a section needs a number and you don't have one, say so instead.
3. **Originality.** The piece adds something of its own: an angle, an example, your data. Never paste more than a short quoted passage from any one source; quote it, credit it and link it. Don't republish someone else's images or video without permission or a license that allows it.
4. **Links.** Open every link in the final draft and confirm it returns HTTP 200 and the page says what you claim (no 404s, no redirects to unrelated pages, no tracking or search-redirect URLs). Re-check after the last edit.
5. **Accuracy pass.** Re-read the claims against their sources once more: numbers, units, dates, names, spelling.
6. **Disclosure.** Mark sponsored or affiliate content, and AI assistance where the platform or your owner requires it.
7. **Approval.** Publishing under your owner's name or brand needs their OK unless they gave you a written standing rule for this channel.

Log for your check-in: pieces published, checks failed before fixing (by type), links checked and broken links found, and claims removed for lack of a source.
