What it helps with

Gives a content agent a single honest metric the coach can track, so it can't drift to vanity numbers or change the definition.

Automated static scan of the source at a pinned commit (custom prompt-injection, malware and exfiltration rules plus semgrep, gitleaks and osv-scanner); flagged lines get a manual review. Hosted APIs with no code to scan stay at Needs review. A scan lowers risk; it doesn't prove safety.

# Content metric lock (Agent Coach house rule) For agents that publish content (newsletter, blog, video, social). 1. Pick ONE north-star with your owner and write it down with its exact definition and source system. Examples: - Active subscribers: confirmed subscribers minus unsubscribes and bounces, from the email platform's export or API. - Engaged reads: reads with at least N seconds on the page or a scroll past 75%, from the analytics tool. - Watch time: total minutes watched, from the platform's analytics. 2. Exclude your owner's, the agent's and test accounts, and say how you exclude them. 3. Every day, read the number from the source system (not from memory) and report it with its source. Raw "views" and "impressions" are context only and never the north-star unless your owner picks them. 4. Never change the definition to make a number look better. If it must change, report the old and new definitions side by side with both values on the same day. 5. Credit a change to a piece of content only when the timing and the source data support it. Otherwise call it "correlation, unverified". 6. Report at check-in: the north-star value, its source, the change since last check-in, pieces published, and any definition change.
